“I keep trying to get fired, but my wife Michelle still puts me to work.
Maybe one day she will finally wise up
and ditch these Rocky Mountains for the Beach!"
Michael technically didn’t have to “join” the team . . .
As Michelle’s husband, Michael inherited a permanent position upon the company’s inception. Michelle describes Michael as her “rock” and although he’s always trying to get out work, he has been the company’s number one fan since Michelle Leo Events was merely an idea. This team would not be complete without this compassionate, kind, creative, and beyond-patient, guy!
FUN FACT: Michael is a talented woodworker and is responsible for many of the beautiful wood elements found within MLE’s event designs. When something in the event rental world is impossible to source, Michelle and Michael work together to design and create what doesn’t exist! Michael is a visionary who enjoys sketching design concepts, developing blueprints, and firing up the table saw to create magic. He’s not happy unless he’s covered in sap and sawdust (or man glitter as Michelle would say).
Over the years, Michael has crafted various farmhouse and vineyard style tables for projects both large and small including entire fleets of tables to supply event rental companies. His unique grey cottage table design is a favorite among local and destination clients, and his craftsmanship has been featured in various print and online publications on both a local and national basis. His incredible designs include creative escort card displays (such as an archery target complete with arrows which took Pinterest by storm), Gatsby-themed table numbers and escort card holders (having literally shipped custom orders all over the word), and numerous other pieces that have brought client visions and event designs to life.
When Michael isn’t busy hand-crafting gorgeous wood details for MLE, he is generally busy enjoying a Kansas City Chiefs football game, taste testing buffalo chicken sandwiches in search of the best one, or talking all things scuba diving with his students. Michael loves being a dive instructor and enjoys teaching others how to appreciate and master the underwater sport.
When event season winds down, Michael enjoys recharging on a tropical beach with Michelle and logging as many underwater dives as possible.
