MEET KATIE

Katie has always been captivated by the beauty and joy of weddings. Her love for these celebrations began with watching endless wedding shows on TLC, dreaming about that perfect day. She often found herself saying, "In another life, I would be a wedding planner," but after planning weddings for several close friends, she realized she didn’t need to wait for another life—she could pursue her passion right now. The excitement of executing meaningful and unforgettable events is what drew her to Michelle Leo Events and she is thrilled to bring her passion for love stories, planning, and attention to detail to every event.

FUN FACT: Before moving to Utah, Katie hiked the Appalachian Trail, an experience that deepened her love for the outdoors and adventure. The journey taught her resilience, patience, and the joy of discovering new paths.

Originally from Roanoke, VA, Katie moved to Salt Lake City to pursue her DMA in Vocal Performance. Singing opera and musical theatre has always been a passion, allowing her to express creativity and emotion. When she’s not planning weddings or performing on stage, you can find Katie exploring Utah’s beautiful trails with her husband, Michael, and their dog, River. Katie is excited to bring her diverse background and love for creating memorable experiences to the Michelle Leo Events team!
