4 Tips For Planning Your Independence Day Soiree

See this content in the original post

Happy July, friends! As the weekend approaches, we’re looking forward to gathering with friends and family to celebrate our country, and today we’re sharing 4 tips to help you plan and prepare for your Independence Day soiree.

1. Incorporate color into your food and beverage.

When creating your menu, incorporate foods that reflect your red, white, and blue color palette through the use of seasonal fruits and vegetables, such as berries or tomatoes, meats and cheeses, bread or buns, desserts, and beverages like a classic Coca Cola or your favorite whiskey. Get creative! The menu is always the best part of this holiday.

2. Go for a simple and understated table design.

Since this is a casual event by nature, keep the table decor simple with a table runner or linen and some fresh flowers and greenery. Let your food be the main focus and allow that colorful menu to shine!

3. Take advantage of classic decor.

Hang a large American flag above your table or near your activities for easy decor that has a big impact. Smaller flags can also be included in other areas for a more subtle look. Functional pieces, such as blankets to use when the sun goes down and pillows to sit on, can also be used as decor.

4. Include activities.

Set up yard games, grab a deck of cards or your favorite board game, and don’t forget the fireworks! Carryover your theme in the game pieces, such as the bean bags for cornhole, the discs for Connect 4, or croquet balls and mallets. Settle in for an evening full of laughter while you watch the sunset and then enjoy fireworks and sparklers beneath the stars. Please remember to use caution and be sure to follow all local laws and guidelines regarding fireworks of any kind.

We hope you have a happy, safe, and enjoyable Independence Day! Be sure to tag us in your photos so we can see how it all comes together!
